Learning French is a challenge. It is rewarding and fun but challenging as well. It can really help you to organize yourself. Each time you sit down to study the language you should use this checklist to make sure you’ll get the most out of each lesson. You’ll be amazed at how fast your French skills grow :)
1. Review the Lessons from the last session. Before you start learning new skills you need to make sure you solidify the old skills. This will give you a more solid foundation to build from.
2. Scan over the new lesson and make sure you understand what you will need to do. There is no sense in getting bogged down in the logistics while you’re trying to learn.
3. Study the new vocabulary and make sure you understand it.
4. Practice pronouncing the words and letters accurately.
5. Learn the grammar and how to conjugate the verbs.
6. Review at the end!
Remember, self study means that you have to take action and focus. There won’t be someone peeking over your shoulder like they would be in a French class. Make sure you are putting your all into it and you will be surprised at how easily the French language will come to you!
Bonne Chance!
